What do you do if you're home sick and it just snowed?

I go out and take pictures. I was focusing on water drops for most of them. When I walked outside it was so calm, and the earth was blanketed in snow. The snow was also melting and dripping, and it was speaking to me. Inspiration at it's best.

 A lot of pictures and not much writing today, but I've had this constant migraine for the past two weeks and it just totally drained me today. Missing school is no fun...

Last night...

I was messing around with my camera and taking a thousand pictures of Maya. I had recently looked at a blog that had a done a post on out-of-focus-pictures and I just thought they looked awesome for some reason! After I went back and looked through my pictures, I found this out-of-focus-picture of my sister that I hadn't realized I'd taken, and I thought I'd share it with you! & yes that is a Nemo balloon...

I'm currently working on gathering more out-of-focus pictures, as well as other styles, and will do another post about these once I gather a nice portfolio!

New notebooks!

Between School, dance class, work, and chores, I've been feeling really disorganized lately. At target the other day, I went on a mission to find some little notebooks that I could use to keep my life on track. I originally picked out some moleskin notebooks because, well, they're the best. They were really expensive though and I didn't have that much  money to spend on notebooks so I ventured over to the more reasonable section, and found these....

These are lovely little notebooks I across. They are the perfect pocket size so they don't take up too much space in my backpack, and they are designed with 3 Places i have always been fascinated with.

 Paris. Said to be the most romantic place in Europe, I've always dreamed of being lucky enough to travel here.

 London. Where people have the greatest accents.

Last, but most definitely not least, New York. I've never had the chance to travel to this magical city, but I hope to go there sometime in the near future. Ever since I've been little, I've loved cities. I become that wide-eyed child, filled with wonderment and dreams, whenever I enter the city.

When you add up all of those factors, it becomes apparent that these are the perfect notebooks for a girl like me.

Over the weekend and after school

Today's post consists of 2 collages. The first one, the black and white one, are all images that were taken over the weekend. Most of them are of my sister & that's because I spent the whole day Saturday watching her. The second collage, the colored one, is of some old golf clubs i found in my garage while walking my dog. They looked very vintage in their little case, and they were screaming for attention. I know today's post was quick, but I have a lot of homework so I hope you enjoy this anyways!

Black and White vs. Color

I've mentioned before that black and white pictures are my favorite. I have nothing against colored photos, and I love shooting colored photographs too, but there's just something about black and white that gets me. I guess i love the simplicity of it. It can tell a dramatic story and just state the facts all at the same time. Sometimes a photograph calls for color, and sometimes it just begs for the sweet serenity of black and white.

The Young Years

 Yesterday was my little sisters 9th Birthday! She had her Birthday Party last Saturday and it was just so adorable!

These were all of the birthday cards Maya received. She was so excited about each and every one that she read every single one to me. I remember when I was little, when birthdays were more important to me than Christmas. I was going to be a year older. I was a year closer to going to high school. Now that I'm actually in High school, I sometimes wonder why I was wishing all of those young years away.

Happy Birthday Maya! I love you and I hope you enjoy being 9 years old!

Boots, Boots

This picture is one of the first pictures I took as I was slowly discovering my passion. One of my wardrobe necessities is combat boots. This happens to be my favorite pair. I  love wearing skinny jeans with them, and I love how I can pair different colored socks with them. you can always see a pair of socks or legwarmers sticking out of the top of my boots whenever they're on me. I have two go-to pairs of socks for my combat boots- Red wool socks, and olive green socks. I just love the feeling of thick warm socks surrounding my feet during this cold time of year!

Nature walk

Today I stayed home from school because I'm a little under the weather. I don't like being stuck in the house all day, and because it just snowed i decided to go on a little nature walk with my Camera.

Stop Motion Film

Hey Guys! I made my first stop motion film today! I didn't use the song that i originally promised, but the one i chose fit perfectly! This one has one 360 view in the beginning and one 360 view in the end, and my sister's hair braids itself in the middle!

I just want to say thanks to my little sister because she was very patient throughout this process!

P.S. sorry for the poor quality i was trying to make it as fast as I could because I didn't have a lot of time! If you watch just in the small frame instead of full screen it's way less grainy. I promise you I used my canon!

Oh and, if anyone is wondering, this took 159 pictures to make!

Maya

After Maya's birthday party today, i took her on a walk and we did a little photoshoot at the park. Out of all of the pictures i took... i got 2 good ones. It was super nice outside today, and we had a lot of fun!

She also refused to take her helmet off.... but i still think she's cute!

Birthday Party

My sister is turning 9 this Wednesday, the 22nd. My mom and dad gave her a birthday party at Roller Garden because that's what she has been asking for all year. I took a picture of the table there for you guys. haha.

Just Warning...

I have been so kindly informed by my Father that he is taking Carl Canon (my camera) away from me. This might be because it's his camera and not mine, but it is still very sad. I may not be posting pictures very much longer on here. As soon as i save up enough money from my job, I'm going to buy Carl a cousin.

Just Letting Y'all know...

Just letting Y'all know that I'm going to start working on stop motion films because i think they're awesome. Whenever i get one done I'll post it here first. I'm not sure what I'm going to shoot yet because Inspiration hasn't struck me yet... but i do have a song picked out!... and it's right. up. there. thanks to youtube.

My cute Puppy

I have a yorkie and her name is Belle. She is the sweetest little thing on Earth <3

I miss my brother...

I just would like to start this post off with: No. I DO NOT SMOKE! (I'm underage anyways)
My oldest brother is in the U.S Army, and, as most military people do, he smokes. He lives a couple of states away from me and my family, so we only get to see him about twice a year. He was home over Christmas brake for 3 weeks and these are all of the cigarette butts of cigarettes he smoked. I took this picture because when he left i missed him dearly, and this was the only thing in our house he left remaining...

Photoshoot with my little sister

My little sister means the world to me. I will be the first to admit that we fight, but I love her dearly. I snapped these shots of her while she was sitting quietly on the couch playing on my ipod.

P.S. you'll probably be seeing many shots of my sister because she is my lovely model. I just love photographing her!

Bokeh

So these pictures were taken a while ago, but i still love them! I'm going to be posting some older pictures (from within the last 6 months) the next couple of days.

Happy Valentines day!

So my mom loves to bake, but with her busy schedule she doesn't always have the time. This valentine's day she showed her love to my siblings and me by baking us Amaretto Truffles. They looked so delicious that i had to photograph them before anyone ate them.
